The Rabies Challenge Fund

"The Rabies Challenge Fund" was started in 2007 and has completed a 5 year study on the efficacy of the Rabies Vaccine.  The program is now starting their 6th year and will hopefully be able to complete 7 years total.  Over vaccination can cause auto-immune deficiencies and Dr. Jean Dodds, owner of HemoPet in CA and Dr. Ronald Schultz of The University of Wisconsin, Madison are working together in this study.  They are making history in showing that dogs immunity from the Rabies Vaccine lasts much longer than 3 years.  This study will lengthen the time required between vaccines, which will benefit every dog.
